Review : Design your own cookbook.

Reviews February 13, 2008

Sometimes, it isn’t just about us finding great work from other web designers to get inspired. Sometimes it’s just doing something aesthetically pleasing, for ourselves or for a friend or for your mom.

One of these things which are wonderfully inspiring for me is to snoop around on TASTE BOOK.

It’s the place were you can create your own, personal cookbook with only a few clicks, then combine it with great photos and get it in a hardcover, easy open binder with 10 tabs for categories. This approach lets you add more recipes at a later time.

I do love to cook - from making my own bread and yogurt to many vegetarian meals - and very much enjoy reading illustrious cookbooks. This site allows me to put my own favorite recipes into a high quality frame for roughly $35 which makes it also a great gift option.

You can start with an existing book and then add your own photos and recipes to it. There is a good selection of nice full paged cover photos (they have over 40). You can also start from scratch and do it all yourself. The book comes with a spiral binding which is practical in the kitchen as you can lay it flat onto a surface while cooking.

But even on days when I’m not in to spending money, browsing through the existing selection is mind calming and inspiring at the same time. Have a look at their FEATURED BOOKS section, then play a bit around and see for yourself.
